Michelle started as a Technician in 1999 in Rolesville, NC. She move to Charlotte after marrying her husband in 2002, this is also when she started working at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital. When she is not working, Michelle enjoys going to baseball games with her son, and dance with her daughter. She recently rescued a miniature poodle name Jiff.
Kristal started her career at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital in 1997. She pursued her degree as a Certified Veterinary Technician, graduating from Gaston College in 2001. She married her husband in 1999, and they have 3 children. During her off time she enjoys attending her daughter’s cheerleading competitions and twin son’s soccer and baseball games. They also have a cat named Lily.
Valerie is originally from Orlando Florida. She moved here 3 years with her Husband and 3 cats. Valerie started her career as a technician in 2003 after graduating from the Florida Institute of Animal Arts. After graduation she was the primary surgical technician at a 5 Doctor practice in Florida. In off time Valerie enjoys going to the beach, reading and bike riding. Her 2 cats are Maya and Wally.
Lyan was born and raised here in Charlotte. Her passion for animals led her to pursue this wonderful career. Lyan has been working here for 1 year. Lyan is our bilingual staff member speaking English and Spanish fluently. She is the owner of 3 energetic Siberian Huskies; Sonya, Pelusa, and Flicka. In her spare time, she enjoys drawing, relaxing at home, and spending time with her friends and family.
Kat started working as a kennel technician assisting doctors and other technicians in 2002 in Alachua, Florida. After advancing to technician, Kat completed her associate's degree, took classes to become a registered technician, and started working at the local animal emergency clinic. Kat, her husband Jeff, and daughter Sarah moved to Charlotte in 2012 to be closer to Jeff's parents. Kat has worked at Hickory Grove Animal Hospital since moving to Charlotte. In her off time she enjoys crafts, wood working, and time spent with her husband, daughter, two dogs (Emma and Tinker) and two cats (Troll and Cooper).
