As a pet owner, you need a safe place to send your pet when you have to spend time away from home. Whether you're going away for the day or you're going away for a week, Hickory Grove Animal Hospital provides comfortable boarding accommodations for our pet patients from Charlotte and the surrounding area.
Before boarding your pet for the first time, we recommend visiting our Charlotte NC facility to see our accommodations first-hand. We'll be able to answer your questions about our boarding facilities and the daily routine that we keep with our pet guests. We encourage pet owners to ask questions of our staff to ensure that they feel comfortable bringing their pet to stay with us.
While you're taking a tour, we encourage you to pay attention to the pet condos where the pets sleep as well as the exercise areas where pets spend time. Cleanliness and professionalism are important at boarding facilities. It's also important for the staff members to treat pets with respect. At Hickory Grove Animal Hospital, we treat all pet boarders like members of the family!
All pets who stay on the premises are required to be up to date on vaccinations. Since we only board pets who are regular patients of ours, we'll be able to look up your pet's vaccination record on the spot to ensure that your pet is fully vaccinated before he or she comes to stay for the first time. If your pet is not up to date on vaccinations, we'll need to bring your pet up to date before your pet can stay in our facility.
We request that all boarders who come to our facility have reservations in advance. In the busy season, it's a good idea to call and find out how much availability we have. We provide all animals with condos that are appropriate for their size. Please note: we do not board pets over 50 pounds.
We provide all our boarders with healthy food. We do our best to accommodate the dietary requirements of all animals staying at our facilities. If your pet has special dietary needs, let us know when you make reservations. We may need you to provide us with your pet's special food, but we'll let you know when you call.
We can help your pet with any medications that he or she needs while in our care. Bring your pet's normal prescription medications when you in.
